forged deep connections to the three composers whose works

comprise this splendid album, by tracing end exploring artistic

inspirations that shaped the legacies of Charles-Marie Widor,

Amanda Maier and David Amram. From having presented the

New York premiere of one of Widor’s best chamber works —

his magnificent Piano Quartet in A minor Op. 66, to joining

the front lines of rediscovering and revealing Amanda Maier’s

superb oeuvre which had been forgotten and neglected for

an entire century but comes back to awe us with her fabulous

Piano Quartet in E minor, to championing the vibrant nature

of David Amram’s creative credo, rooted in the traditions of

classical structures cross-pollinated with jazz and folk elements

in Amram’s “Portraits” - this is a spectacularly-blended

program which juxtaposes parallels, contrasts and paradoxes

united in shaping the message that is inseparable from the

music’s mission to transport and enrich us. The meticulous

and influential events sculpting legacies, which endure and
